This year there are four components to the claim:
1. A 5.2% increase across the board, plus a £2,000 lump sum for all.
2. An annual leave increase from 25 to 30 days.
3. An augmenting of the College’s annual carer’s leave provision from one week unpaid to two weeks paid.
4. A request that the College sets up a working group to look into the possibility of moving to a 4-day week.
Negotiation meetings between the unions and College management are scheduled to run in April and May, with a view to reaching agreement in time for implementation by 1/8/25.
